Remember that big soundproof suspended chamber they have their meetings in where everyone smokes constantly? To me being stuck in a soundproof, airtight chamber with little ventilation and everyone smoking sounds like hell on earth! (But what a cool visual! Looks like they borrowed it a bit already in TTSS.)

I haven't seen Midnight in Paris yet, Bob, though I really want to! So far my favorite movie of the summer that I have seen was X-Men: First Class. I love the late summer/fall period. It mixes my favorites: the low-brow, mid-budget action movies that wouldn't have a chance in summer like Killer Elite and Colombiana and the high-brow prestige movies like TTSS, out as Oscar bait!Tannerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03910873055922510145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36879283.post-29598643172620843602011-08-05T06:59:52.102-07:002011-08-05T06:59:52.102-07:00After another summer of mediocre blockbusters (Pir...After another summer of mediocre blockbusters (Pirates, Green Lantern, Transformers, etc.), it will be a welcome relief for some intelligent writing and acting in the movies.

Actually, my favorite film this summer was Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris". We need more movies where open-reel tape recorders spin ominously and everyone smokes.Tedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16333649435219609877noreply@blogger.com
