Tradecraft: The Hunt Begins For RED 2 Directors
In a story about the next Die Hard film, Deadline reports that since Robert Schwetke, who helmed the fun 2010 "old spies back in action" movie RED, is tied up with R.I.P.D., a new director is being sought for the sequel. According to trade blog, star Bruce Willis is intimately involved (or involving himself intimately) in Summit's search. The only name mentioned so far is Breck Eisner. I really enjoyed the first film, so I hope they find someone appropriate for the material. As of now, Willis plans to film Die Hard 5 before cameras roll on the RED follow-up. It was previously reported that Erich and Jon Hoeber, the screenwriters of the first film, are back on board for the sequel.
