Tradecraft: Mission: Impossible Land?
Deadline reports that Paramount (no doubt inspired by the success of Warners' nearby Making of Harry Potter attraction) is in the early stages of developing a new theme park in the Thames Estuary near London. According to the trade blog, "the deal includes Paramount’s highly valuable movie properties. Rides and attractions are likely to be themed around IPs like Star Trek, Mission: Impossible and Transformers, though the form they will take has yet to be set in stone." Mission: Impossible theme park attractions? Sounds potentially very cool to me! I hope they don't just slap the name and logo on a generic roller coaster, but actually put some thought into creating a creative and fun ride or attraction that really captures the spirit of the films. (I'd prefer the spirit of the TV show, of course, but we all know it's the films they're talking about.) Even more thought than creating a Burj Khalifa Tower of Terror. Something that simulates dangling, ideally...
WOW! If this will happen, everyone would visit the said attraction. Thanks for the share.
