First Official Look At Gina Carano Gone Haywire
Relativity Media has released the first official still from Steven Soderbergh's upcoming action spy movie Haywire, starring MMA fighter Gina Carano in her screen debut backed up by an all-star ensemble including Michael Douglas, Ewan McGregor, Bill Paxton, Antonio Bandaras, Michael Angarano (who I liked in Sky High and The Forbidden Kingdom) and Michael Fassbender (who I loved in X-Men: First Class!). According to the official synopsis, Haywire is "an electrifying tale of espionage and betrayal" in which "a female covert ops specialist (Carano), who works in the deadly world of international operatives, strikes back after discovering she’s been double-crossed by someone close to her in the agency. The film is produced by Gregory Jacobs (Ocean’s Trilogy) and written by Lem Dobbs (The Limey). Soderbergh and Carano will attend the San Diego Comic Con later this month to promote the film and presumably unveil some footage. As reported last month, the film will be released on January 20, 2012.
