VARGR Contest Winner

It was great yesterday to have not one, but two new James Bond comics out from Dynamite (Warren Ellis's "EIDOLON" and Andy Diggle's "Hammerhead"). The hardest part was deciding which one to read first, but they both turned out to be totally satisfying! Yesterday also concluded the first Double O Section 10th Anniversary Contest, which means that one lucky reader won a copy of the beautiful hardcover edition of Ellis's first 007 story arc for Dynamite, "VARGR." Vegas Comes Up 007!

I said there would be some different sorts of contests this week in celebration of the Double O Section's fourth blogiversary–and here's the first. The prize is one copy of MGM's Collector's Edition DVD of the 1967 spoof version of Casino Royale.  But rather than the usual week to enter, this DVD is going to the first person to email me with the correct answer to this trivia question:

What artist created that tattooed girl art that dominated the US and UK advertising campaigns for this film? 

Use the subject line "Casino Royale Contest" and include the answer to the trivia question and your full mailing address in your email.  Entries that don't follow those guidelines will be discarded. Don't automatically assume someone else has already won until I post a winner.  Maybe everyone else is assuming that, too, and maybe the first responder didn't have the right answer.  Or maybe they didn't follow the directions and include their mailing address or use the right subject line.  Assume the contest is still open until you hear otherwise and good luck! The Double O Section Is Four Years Old Today

I can't believe I've been doing this for four years.  That's like college!  It's a long time.  And I think 4 might equal 80 or so in Blog Years.  So it seems appropriate to celebrate–and possibly even to celebrate all week long.  To do so, and to thank all the readers who continue to peruse the Double O Section in record numbers, I'll be running a number of contests throughout the week.  Some of them will run for the whole week, as usual, and others will have shorter durations.
